AOS 2016 - White Papers and Short Statements (PUBLIC)

In preparation for the Arctic Observing Summit 2016, community input was invited in the form of white papers and short statements (below), poster presentations (link), and through town halls and other meetings. The following articles have been submitted for public review and discussion and in preparation for the AOS 2016. Thematic Working Groups have been preparing synthesis documents (to be posted) to report on the state of Arctic observing under each theme, and to identify linkages among themes, remaining gaps, needs and priorities, and to generate discussion around solutions, implementation, community engagement, and international cooperation.

Short Statements (SS) and White Papers (WP) are listed below BY THEMES in the order received since Fall 2015.

Reviewers provided comments for authors, and in most cases these papers have been revised (links to pdf files of all papers are below). However, papers that are still undergoing review or are being revised are marked with '(IP*)' to show that they are 'in progress'. These papers can now be downloaded, but a revised, final version will be posted as it becomes available.

Papers listed BY THEMES below: To find an author or keyword, use your browser's search tool found on the menu bar, or use 'CTRL + F' on your keyboard to bring up the search box tool. The numbers under 'Theme' refer to the AOS themes.
